Summer Reading

Dear Shrevewood Students,

This summer you should be READING every day!  Keep your brain sharp and on track for the next school year.  There are 3 summer reading challenges for Shrevewood Students:

  1. Complete the Summer Reading Bingo sheet that you can find in your report card envelope or on the Shrevewood website.  Compete bingo lines or a full bingo card and turn it in to your new teacher in August to win bookfair dollars!
  2. The Fairfax County Public Library is hosting a summer reading program. Go to: https://fairfaxcounty.gov/library  You can win a coupon book full of summer fun from the library. There are many activities being hosted by the public libraries.  You will need to log in and create an account in Beanstack to track your reading.
  3. This summer you will probably want to read something that other students have recommended.  Please help us make that list of book recommendations by recording your own Flip Grid book recommendation video of less than 1 minute. Go to Flip Grid on your computer: https://flip.com/e3bf94a7

Have fun this summer, stay safe, and we will see you in August!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kimberly Adams
